Mercedes Cabello Llona de Carbonera (Moquegua, 1842 - Lima, 1909) fue escritor e intelectual peruano, representante del ensayismo femenino peruano. Ella cultivaba los géneros de ensayo, novela y poesía. Ella escribió sobre diversos temas, incluyendo temas feministas, escritura y literatura, y reflexiones filosóficas. Publicó en diferentes medios de prensa nacionales e internacionales, y en algunos casos firmó bajo un seudónimo. Cabello defendió la igualdad entre mujeres y hombres y la educación de las mujeres. Su trabajo como escritor recibió premios, así como enemistad provocado.
