Siguiendo la ruta del ejército Daitya, el demonio Raktabija ataca a la diosa Kali. Inicialmente, este enemigo parecía invencible porque con cada gota de su sangre que cayó sobre el suelo surgió otro demonio. Sin embargo, el emaciado Kali fue capaz de consumir la sangre caída, permitiendo al demonio ser derrotado. Aquí, Raktabija se defiende del asalto multiarmado de Durga, mientras que los demonios que se crean de sus heridas están a lo largo de la lengua extendida de Kali.
