En esta pintura con el Cuerno de Oro, el artista reúne el bullicio de la vida cotidiana en el mar con la silueta de la ciudad en la luz del matrimonio de la noche. El horizonte de la península histórica en el fondo se define por edificios como la mezquita Süleymaniye, la Torre Beyazıt y la mezquita Rüştem Paşa. Esta es una de las dos pinturas que representan la vida en el Cuerno de Oro en la exposición y emplea un punto de vista similar. Mientras que la pintura lleva la firma del artista y la frase "İstanbul", no está fechada. Aunque hay poca información disponible sobre el artista, reconocido por sus acuarelas, se cree que llegó a Estambul después de 1885.
