Vicente Tofiño de San Miguel fue un marinero y cosmógrafo español que enseñó en la Royal Company of Midshipmen en Cádiz, convirtiéndose finalmente en su director. Allí escribió el Compendio de la Geometría Elemental y Trigonometría rectilínea: para el uso de los Cavalleros Guardias-Marinas en su academia. Escrito por Don Vicente Tofiño de San Miguel, Theniente de Navio de la Real Armada, y Director de la misma Academia, publicado por la Empresa
