Imagen de Yoon Dongju y Song Monggyu en sus años de secundaria tomado en un campo en Longjing. Fue donado por la familia de Song Monggyu. Yoon Dongju está a la izquierda y Song Monggyu a la derecha. Los dos graduados de la escuela primaria Myung-dong, estudiaron en la escuela primaria Jeil, una escuela primaria china en Helong Prefacture, y se inscribieron juntos en la escuela secundaria Eunjin ubicada en Longjing en 1932. Primeros primos y amigos, Yoon Dongju y Song Monggyu parecían gemelos por sus caras y alturas similares, y se dice que se han llevado bien a pesar de sus personalidades opuestas.
