William Bogle was born on April 9, 1844, in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. He migrated to New Zealand prior to 1878 and married Matilda Wattie in 1878. They had five children together. William Bogle later migrated from New Zealand to Western Australia with his family after 1887. He passed away on April 12, 1907, at Cue, Daydawn, Western Australia.
