Le titre de cette peinture fait référence à une rue à Centerport, Long Island, où Dove a vécu ses dernières années (1938–1946). Bien qu'il ne soit pas immédiatement identifiable comme un paysage, le sujet est suggéré par les tons verdoyants et terreux. Le fond vert pâle rappelle également l'eau du port voisin de Huntington. D'après une petite étude aquarelle, comme l'étaient tant de peintures de Dove, cette composition a été agrandie et ajustée à sa configuration finale à l'aide d'un pantographe.
