Le fils prodigue. L'histoire du Fils Perdu, représentée en quatre scènes sur une peinture. Sur la gauche, le fils dit au revoir à son père, puis boit avec une femme à une table à l'extérieur d'une auberge. À droite le fils peut être vu comme un porche et à l'extrême droite la maison du fils, l'accueil par le père et l'abattage du veau gras. La toile fait partie d'une série de paraboles peintes pour l'église luthérienne de Leiden (voir aussi nos SK-A-2959 et SK-A-2960).
