Mary Stevenson Cassatt (1844–1926) était un peintre et imprimante américain. Elle a vécu une grande partie de sa vie adulte en France, où elle a d'abord été amie Edgar Degas et exposée plus tard parmi les impressionnistes. La peinture est maintenant dans la collection de la National Portrait Gallery, The Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC, USA.
