Portrait est représenté assis. Augustinus van Rijckevorsel est représenté en position des trois quarts, son visage est utilisé à droite (à gauche pour le spectateur), les mains repliées dans le tour. Il est habillé d'un manteau noir avec un pantalon gris. Une vieille photo pour la restauration montre que son col blanc haut a changé avec la surpeinture et un morceau de col lâche a été ajouté à la place de son cou. Le fond est gardé sobre, un mur de chambre avec un papier peint vaguement marqué. Une plinthe sombre et le style de porte cadrent la figure. Appartient au pendentif de l'épouse Maria Francisca Louisa Dommer van Poldersveldt.
