L'ancien Empereur français mourut le samedi 5 mai 1821, après cinq ans et demi d'exil à Sainte-Hélène. A son chevet étaient ses amis les plus fidèles, ceux qui l'ont accompagné jusqu'au bout. Parmi eux, Henri-Gatien Bertrand, était assis près de lui. Nous trouvons à l'image les membres de sa famille qu'il a amené avec lui à Bonaparte
