WILHELMINA VON HALLWYL, va chez Mena. Mena La maison était à l'origine un pavillon de chasse, construit pour Khedive, Ismail Pasha en 1869. Il a été vendu à des propriétaires privés dans les années 1880 et a été rapidement reconstruit comme un hôtel avec 80 chambres. L'hôtel a ouvert en 1886 et en 1890 il a ouvert la première piscine en Egypte. L'hôtel était juste près des pyramides et était un point de vue parfait pour les riches. Les von Hallwyls ont visité l'hôtel quelques fois, une fois le 13 décembre, pour manger le petit déjeuner après avoir visité les pyramides.
