Ce portrait a un cadre en chêne inhabituel qui semble avoir été construit par un ébéniste plutôt que par un framemaker traditionnel. Il a probablement été fait pour correspondre à l'ameublement et les détails architecturaux d'une chambre dans la maison de la baby-sitter. Jane Crane Andrews (1840-1930), vue ici au moment de son mariage, fut plus tard membre du conseil d'administration de l'Hôpital de la femme et de la National Society of Colonial Dames. Son mari, William, est administrateur du Metropolitan Museum of Art et organise sa bibliothèque en 1880.
