La Vierge et l'Enfant sont intronisés dans un jardin clos, une métaphore probable de sa virginité. Sur la droite Sainte Barbara lit un livre. Mary Magdalene, assise à côté de sa tenue sur le pot à pommade, semble tourner les pages. À gauche, Sainte Catherine reçoit une bague du Christ (elle a refusé d'épouser un empereur au motif qu'elle était déjà mariée au Christ). Le monde quotidien représenté au-delà du mur a peut-être été peint à partir de Bruges contemporains. - Oui.
