Cette image d'une perspective extrêmement basse est presque certainement une étude pour une peinture de plafond. Cependant, il n'a pas encore été lié à un travail spécifique. Le dessin est particulièrement élégant et aéré. Il produit un effet extrêmement peintre grâce à l'utilisation du papier bleu (carta azzurra) et des passages de lavage à l'encre et des reflets blancs, qui ont été exécutés avec le pinceau. L'artiste a atteint l'intensité d'expression et la tension chargée entre les figures en réduisant son matériel à son essentiel. Des éléments architectoniques tels que le plafond à caissons, le portail en arrière-plan et le baldaquin en forme de tente renforcent et soulignent la clarté de la composition.
