La baby-sitter, représentée avec un luth, est Baldassare Donato (1525/1530- 1603). Donato était un compositeur et un chanteur qui vivait à Venise. Il a apporté une contribution importante à la musique italienne au XVIe siècle, et il est le plus célèbre pour ses œuvres laïcs légères, bien qu'il ait composé plusieurs pièces cérémonielles et ecclésiastiques d'État. En 1590, il fut nommé maestro di cappella de Saint Marc.
