Cette étude des vitres dans un panier a été peinte l'année avant la mort de l'artiste. Bien que le motif soit repris de sa composition plus grande et plus finie de 1874, Still Life with Pansie (66.194), ces fleurs ont probablement été peintes de la vie, ce qui est conforme à la pratique de Fantin.
