John Glover était un artiste australien, basé près de Stawell dans l'ouest de Victoria, en Australie. Il était un voyageur aventureux et, en 1987, il s'est rendu au Népal pour faire de l'art en voyageant. Au sujet de ce travail, il a déclaré:
