Il s'agit d'une affiche publicitaire de 1914 commandée par le Berliner Theater, œuvre de l'un des poster-makers autrichiens les plus influents actifs avant la Première Guerre mondiale, qui a mis à jour le langage de l'affiche pour lui donner un statut de discipline artistique distincte. La magie du cinéma français est désormais disponible dans un théâtre berlinois. L'association de l'événement annoncé avec la France est soulignée par un grand tricorne (comme porté par les soldats dans la période des guerres napoléoniennes) avec un emblème en République
