Le Colon Theather est une bilingue conçue par l'architecte français Claude Sahut, inaugurée en 1914, puis déclarée Monument national en 1972. Le théâtre est situé en face de San Martín Plaza, anciennement Zela Plaza. Dans ses premières années, il n'avait que deux étages et un dôme de style art nouveau. Le bâtiment a été remodelé à son apparence actuelle en 1936 par l'ingénieur Alejandro Garland, apportant des changements importants tels que la croissance verticale du bâtiment. Dans ses installations de nombreuses œuvres théâtrales ont été présentées, et depuis 1921, aussi des projections cinématographiques.
