Judith et Holofernes font partie de la peinture au plafond de la chapelle Sixtine par le maître-artiste italien Michelangelo. Michelangelo décrit la scène dans plusieurs aspects dans l'un des Pendentifs, ou quatre spandres au plafond de la Chapelle Sixtine. Le plafond de chapelle Sixtine, peint par Michelangelo entre 1508 et 1512, est l'une des œuvres les plus renommées de la Haute Renaissance.
