Mikuláš Galanda était coauteur du premier manifeste du modernisme slovaque. Il a également obtenu des résultats distinctifs dans le dessin, le graphisme et l'art slovaque à l'étape de l'Europe dans les années 1930. Galanda a souligné la précision de la ligne, couplé avec le lyrisme de goût et l'intimité.
