Nonomura Ninsei est bien connu dans l'histoire de la poterie japonaise moderne comme un maître d'Omuroyaki, dont le four était autrefois situé en face du temple Ninnaji à Omuro, Kyoto. Alors que le moment exact où Omuroyaki a commencé est encore inconnu, il est estimé à environ 1647. Ninsei
