Designs in Circular Forms est un album de dessins qui auraient été brossés par Ogata Korin. À l'intérieur de chaque petit morceau de papier circulaire, Korin a pris des motifs des fleurs des quatre saisons, et des contes du Japon aristocratique, et les a disposés dans des compositions inhabituelles, souvent avec des éléments hardis. A en juger par les traces des travaux de transfert sur les dessins, on pense que ces travaux ont été utilisés comme dessins préparatoires pour les laques maki-e.
