Design pour le Palais du Peuple, envisagé par Owen Jones. Ses premiers dessins, pour ce qui allait devenir Alexandra Palace, étaient très semblables à la Grande Exposition qui avait prouvé un succès populaire et commercial à Hyde Park, puis après la réinstallation à South London. La vision du bâtiment était entièrement en verre, contrairement à la structure finale qui était construite en acier et en brique.
