Cette scène apparaît dans une copie ultérieure d'une peinture Tang-dynastie illustrant l'histoire d'une légende littéraire, Lady Su Hui, qui devait avoir vécu à la fin du IVe siècle. La datation de la peinture originale est soutenue par les types d'instruments représentés en elle. La harpe (konghou) et le pipa joués avec un plectrum ont disparu après le Tang. Première rangée, de gauche à droite: qin, pipa, pipa (joué sans plectrum), paiban En arrière, de gauche à droite: dizi, xiao, sheng, konghou
