La Tamil Lady jouant le Swarbat de Raja Ravi Varma est une copie ultérieure par l'artiste lui-même d'une peinture peinte pour la première fois en 1874. La peinture a été exposée en 1874 à l'exposition Madras Fine Art Society et a ensuite été donnée par le Maharaja de Travancore au prince de Galles (dernier roi Édouard VII) lors de ce voyage en Inde en 1875.
