C'est un croquis intéressant de Raja Ravi Varma d'un éléphant avec tous les accessoires de la royauté. Au premier plan se trouve le canon et l'épée. Sur l'éléphant se trouvent le howdah, le drapeau et le parapluie. A gauche de l'éléphant se trouve la shankha (coquille) qui est un symbole spécial de Vishnu. La coquillage s'appelle Panchajanya, symbole de l'autorité religieuse exercée par la parole. Les Shankhas continuent de faire partie de l'emblème de l'État du Kerala. L'éléphant porte une bannière avec un emblème composé de deux éléphants et les initiales
