Konstanty Laszczka był polskim rze-biarzem, malarzem, grafikiem oraz profesorem i rektorem ASP w Krakowie. Przebywał w Paryшu od 1890 do 1896 roku, w czasie tym zaprzyjaшnił się ze Stanisławem Wyspiańskim. Omawiany wizerunek rze-biarza powstał 10 lipca 1894 roku.
