A Picture of My Junior écrit dans Yoon Dongju, deuxième cahier de manuscrits. Le poète a publié ce poème dans la section étudiante de Chosun Ilbo le 17 octobre 1938, sous le nom et l'affiliation de Yoon Dongju de Yonhui. Son frère cadet, Yoon Ilju, a révélé plus tard que l'expression «Qu'allez-vous grandir pour être / vous serez une personne» de A Portrait of Little Brother était une conversation qu'il a eue avec son frère aîné, Yoon Dongju.
