C'est pas vrai. Dans cet ensemble de douze rouleaux, Zhang Ruitu transcrit un commentaire sur vingt-cinq calligraphes composés par Yuan Ang (461–540), artiste et ministre à la cour de la dynastie Liang (r. 502–57), où la critique littéraire et artistique a d'abord prospéré en Chine. Alors que certains des calligraphes discutés, comme Wang Xizhi (ca. 303–ca. 361) et Wang Xianzhi (344–386), sont des figures imposantes dans l'histoire de l'art, beaucoup d'entre eux sont aujourd'hui inconnus. Zhang écrit dans un style puissant marqué par des angles pointus et des personnages qui sont plus grands qu'ils ne le sont.
