Ce petit croquis enregistre la composition de Corot pour la destruction de Sodome (29.100.18) comme l'artiste l'a conçu en 1843. Cette année-là, le grand tableau fut rejeté par les jurés du Salon de Paris, mais il fut accepté lorsque Corot le présenta de nouveau en 1844.
