Petrus Weyts, artist. Reverse-on-glass painting. Port broadside view of the Ship GLASGOW passing Flushing with all sails set except for the main and mizzen staysails and the mizzen course. The hull is black and copper with a white strip and nine false gunports. Pale green deckhouses with white roofs. Brown boats on davits off stern and beside the stern deckhouses. The billethead and nameboard are gold, with brass bell near the stern. Flying jack on the fore, burgee on the main, and ensign on the spanker halyard. Nine crew visible on deck. Antwerpen pilot boat, sloop, schooner and ship in the background. Flushing with towers, windmills and a fortress in the left background. Sea is light and the sky is partially cloudy. Inscription:
