Portrait of President Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865), 16th President of the United States until his assassination on April 14, 1865, by John Wilkes Booth. In this depiction, President Lincoln is shown in a half-length portrait facing left as he appeared in 1860, beardless, probably after the photograph by Chicago photographer, Alexander Hesler.
