Biografi:
Ismail Gulgee fue un artista paquistaní nacido en Peshawar en 1926 y murió en Karachi en 2007. Fue conocido por sus retratos y abstracciones caligráficas. Estudió en Lawrence College, Aligarh University, Columbia University y Harvard University. He received several awards from the Pakistani government, including the Pride of Performance Award in 1970, the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Star of Excellence) Award in 1982 and the Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Crescent of Excellence) Award in 1995. Realizó su primera exposición de pintura en 1950 y sus obras forman parte de varias colecciones privadas y públicas en todo el mundo.
