Anche se la figura femminile in costume antico, destra, tenendo una freccia e la lancia di caccia non ha emblema distintivo di una luna crescente sulla fronte, potrebbe essere stata destinata a rappresentare la dea Diana, famosa come una cacciatrice, in particolare in vista dell'atteggiamento servile della ninfa che le offre un arco. Il soggetto è stato così identificato da quando è entrato nel museo.L’immagine attuale, il cui supporto è svincolato e sul suo originale “pesante”, è evidentemente dello stesso artista di un altro nella raccolta, Nymph e Shepherd Making Music in a Landscape (SK-A-1839), anch’esso a lungo considerata Abraham Genoels. In effetti, il quadro attuale è stato detto essere firmato sul retro. Ma è dubbioso se l'iscrizione sull'etichetta, attaccata alla barella, può essere descritta come una firma; scritta molto probabilmente in una mano settecentesca quando Genoels era meglio conosciuto di lui oggi, l'etichetta potrebbe piuttosto essere quella di un commerciante o proprietario precoce. 10Anche se la stessa dimensione di SK-A-1839, sembra non solo parlare un ciondolo; forse entrambi sono meglio descritti come un insieme di due o parte di una serie più grande di paesaggi pittoreschi.
