Albert Marquet è un paesaggista che costruisce. Una diagonale per la spiaggia e il mare che solo i colori si distinguono. Un orizzontale tra il mare e il cielo (l'orizzonte) il cui trattamento differisce (piccoli tocchi per il mare, arabeschi per il cielo nuvoloso). Alcune barche, canoe e nuotatori animano il paesaggio.
