"The Bridge," fatto su pelle dorata, condivide il formato orizzontale e la sottile applicazione di vernice di "The Smuggler" Cove" (09.58.2). Questo paesaggio panoramico è stato detto per combinare frammenti di scenario di New York che Ryder avrebbe saputo: un po 'di skyline come visto da Central Park, e High Bridge, che abbraccia il fiume Harlem. Nonostante questi possibili riferimenti a siti specifici, "The Bridge" è ancora fantasioso piuttosto che letterale. Il suo distacco dall'aspetto della natura non vede l'ora di un approccio modernista alla realizzazione dell'immagine.
