Un barografo con cassa in legno di palissandro e padouk con avorio interno e inseguito ornamenti in bronzo dorato sormontare il quadrante: uomo anziano (Time) con libro e putto. Scambi floreali sospesi da maschere di leone decorano pilastri fiancheggianti barometro, trofei militari sotto. Tra il consistente numero di strumenti olologici e scientifici di precisione che George III ha assemblato a Buckingham House nella prima parte del regno questo eccezionale barografo è eccezionale sia per la sua complessità meccanica che per la ricchezza del suo caso. Il movimento è stato progettato e realizzato dallo Scot, Alexander Cumming, e incorpora un orologio regolatore di fine mese con Cumming
