Per l'asino un uomo con un cappello alto su una sedia; a destra dell'asino il pittore sta con nella sua mano sinistra una tavolozza, spazzole e un bastone di pittura. Sul muro appendere più dipinti, un portafoglio con disegni è appoggiato contro la sedia.
