Uovo elettrico, chiamato anche de la Tubo di Rive con il nome del suo inventore, il fisico Auguste De La Rive (1801 - 1873), è usato per studiare e osservare la scarica elettrica del gas rarefatto. È un uovo di vetro in cui ci sono due palo di ferro piccolo che termina in due piccolo globo che può essere collegato, attraverso i terminal, rispettivamente al polo positivo e polo negativo. Nella parte inferiore di questo strumento c'è un rubinetto per collegare il contenitore con pompa a vuoto.
