I gruppi sparsi di uomini e donne sono situati intorno a due chiatte su una spiaggia. Inoltre, i cavalli, un carrello cane con due cani e un carrello netto allungato sono raffigurati. Contro le dune si sta riparando un bomschuit (una barca da pesca olandese). La torre della chiesa di Scheveningen è visibile dall'altra parte delle dune. Sullo sfondo a sinistra ci sono altre chiatte, tra cui una con una recinzione piana, un cosiddetto barbecue di gamberetti.
