Rinomata per la sua brillantezza e bellezza, Anne de Pisseleu era l'amante di Francesco I. Fu presentata al re a corte nel 1526 quando aveva diciassette anni. Dopo la sua morte nel 1547, fu respinta dalla corte dall'amante del re successivo (Henry II) e morì in oscurità. Qui indossa una collana d'oro e un ciondolo con la sua A iniziale e una perla.
