A partire dal 1890, Maurice Denis si affermò come teoretico del Nabis, ponendo i principi fondamentali stabiliti da Gauguin. In questa scena sul molo nel porto di Loctudy, Breton persone di tutte le età danzano intorno al tradizionale fuoco di San Giovanni. Sullo sfondo, altri fuochi illuminano la baia al tramonto.
