Il Fifer o Young Flautist è un dipinto del 1866 di Edouard Manet. Manet dipinto Il Fifer dopo un viaggio (1865) in Spagna, dove scoprì il lavoro di Diego Velázquez. Di fronte allo sfondo monocromo, fortemente colorato evidenzia la figura sulla base ma una tavolozza ridotta di colori, dominata la tecnica di impasto: il nero molto affilato della giacca e delle scarpe, pantaloni rossi, cinturino bianco, ecc. Di conseguenza, la figura è "ferma, liscia e viva. Attualmente è conservato nel Museo d'Orsay, Parigi.
