Un amico e collega del collega Spaniard Mariano Fortuny, i paesaggi di Sánchez-Perrier possiedono una notevole chiarezza quasi fotografica che nasce in parte dalla sua formazione sotto l’artista accademico francese Jean-Léon Gérome. L'opera, dipinta nei pressi di Granada, in Spagna, è tipica dei suoi soggetti che attingono agli elementi naturali e architettonici della campagna rustica spagnola.
