La miniatura è stata realizzata da Ethienne Bouchardy (la firma si trova in curva sulla miniatura stessa) che ha lavorato nella prima metà del XIX secolo e che era studente di Antoine-Jean Gros. Nella ritrattistica dei primi novecento, è evidente l'influenza di scultori neoclassici in primis Antonio Canova considerando la presenza di un forte realismo nella rappresentazione e la scelta del profilo, preso dopo il numismatico classico.
