Uomo afro-descendante a piedi nudi, con pantaloni blu e sopra la sua camicia bianca ha un poncho grigio con linee verticali. Ha anche una sciarpa rossa legata intorno alla sua testa e un cappello bianco corto e arrotondato. Nella sua mano sinistra ha un bastone e nella sua destra, un bastone di legno allungato che sostiene sulle spalle, da cui le candele pendono in gruppi. Nelle serate della città, questo personaggio pubblicizzò la vendita di candele di tallow, che appese da un lungo bastone poggiante sulle spalle. Le candele sono state acquistate per illuminare le stanze principali delle case, e nei negozi per poter lavorare di notte. A metà degli anni '50 apparve l'illuminazione a gas. Iscrizione:
