Il passato classico divenne terreno fertile per gli artisti rinascimentali, come rivela questa grande arazzo. Celebra una delle più audace imprese militari della storia antica, la vicina sconfitta di Hannibal a Roma durante la seconda guerra punica (218–203 a.C.). Al centro, il generale riceve il bottino di guerra dopo aver vinto una battaglia.
