I famosi Cantanti (The Impassioned Singer e il suo compagno, The Singer with Flute) nella Galleria Borghese sono stati attribuiti a Giorgione. Tuttavia, questa attribuzione è fortemente discussa. Alcuni studiosi pensano che sia opera di Domenico Capriolo (1494-1528), altri assumono che sia stato eseguito nel periodo successivo alla morte di Giorgione. I cantanti cantano con un'aria di pathos barocco circondato da forti effetti chiaroscuro, che in realtà hanno indotto molti esperti oggi per datarli all'inizio del XVII secolo.
